On April 24th Niki Croft, Stu Dawkins, Dave from RadBMX and myself flew to New York City for the Mat Hoffman 'Birth of Big Air' video premiere.

We flew on the 24th and came back the following day, the 25th! Me and Niki didn't bother booking a place to stay, the plan was to just walk around all night finding stuff to do. But it turns out after walking nearly 6 miles down Broadway that most of the places to eat at Times Square closed at 1.30am! ...we got there at 1.30am! So we ended up getting a few hours sleep on a hotel room floor. It was way worth it though!
The video premiere was crazy, so many people were sat in front of the big screen watching, clapping and cheering whenever Mat came on the screen and making all kinds of noises when Mat would fall a million foot to flat or whatever.
After the video Mat, Kevin Robinson, Dennis Mccoy and John Parker with a bunch of skaters i dont know the names of did a vert demo, Mat was doing no hand 540s of skaters doing mental moves and he ended one of his runs with one of them front flips without his bike on to the deck!
In the 'green room' after the demo we met Mat and Dave Voelker, I'de never seen Niki so lost for words! I got a photo of them together and its probably the best photo ive ever taken!
